Newsletter – January 2016 – Lisa Lindsey

Would you recognize the symptoms of diabetes? Do you know the difference between the various types? They are quite different! It seems like everyone knows that it involves blood sugar levels, but exactly why is it so low or so elevated? What’s the problem? As a hint, it is not a one to one direct relationship with how much sugar you eat.

Diabetes is referred to as a metabolic disorder meaning it has to do with the way our bodies use digested food for energy and growth. Anything that crosses the lips and teeth into the mouth, via a dentist or by your own hand, as soon as it crosses that threshold, it becomes part of the body and is subject to its very well organized survival systems. Certainly, diabetes was not built into one of those systems as part of normal operation, so there must be something each of us can do for prevention, control and even elimination of this disease.

Let’s ask Lisa Lindsey! She has answers and so will you after watching this interview. Enjoy!

And, Happy New Year to all of you!

Ray G. Behm, DDS

PS: We have some exciting things planned for the New Year and have already started upgrading our physical technology to be able to provide these advanced services to you. Stay tuned!

Dr. Beata A. Carlson at Clearwater, FL

Dr. Beata A. Carlson

A graduate from the University of Maryland, Dr. Beata A. Carlson, is an established professional in dentistry. She is a firm believer in taking on a holistic approach to treating her patients’ dental concerns. It entails a general awareness of the body. It caters to the overall well-being of the patient using natural, biocompatible, and mercury-free dentistry methods instead of ‘spot treatment,’ where solutions are obtained to fix the temporary/surface wound instead of the underlying issue.

This approach promotes healthy living and proper oral care practice for day to day life. Dr. Beata A. Carlson insists on educating her patients on how to engage in such methods to help them achieve a better quality of life.

She invests both time and resources in the latest and most advanced technology to aid in diagnostics and treatment plans for her patients while maintaining a comfortable and relaxing environment.

Dr. Beata A. Carlson is also a member of the International Academy of Oral Medicine and Toxicology, The American Academy of General Dentistry and The American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry.
