Health Practitioner Interview Series: Pamela Seefeld – Clinical Pharmacist and Pharmacognosy Consultant
As you know we have been featuring the Health Formula in past newsletters – outlining the parameters of health through aligned structure, better nutrition and eliminating anything toxic to the body, including how the formula relates to dental health.
Structure + Nutrition – Toxicity = Physical Health
But, what about the addition of drugs or medicines to the Health Formula? Should they not be included? Good question. They are the most widely promoted solution for eliminating disease.
This month’s Health Practitioner Video Interview is with Pamela Seefeld, R.Ph, a graduate of University of Florida in clinical pharmacy who has owned and operated Botanical Resources for the last 15 years, specializing in pharmacognosy, the chemistry and biology of bioactive natural substances.
She would certainly have a perspective on drugs and the health formula as pharmacy is the science or practice of preparation and dispensing of medical drugs for the treatment or prevention of disease or any disfunction of the normal homeostatic process.
In dentistry we have a definite use for her skills and knowledge in the areas of pretreatment anxiety relief, post-op pain medications and in natural antibiotics.
The availability of natural based products from her Natural Resources pharmacy and her demonstrated knowledge of pharmacognosy makes for a great resource in achieving health. Sometimes a new perspective can unlock a solution that may not be part of the knowledge base of other practitioners.
Hope you take time to view this most enlightening and enjoyable interview.
Happy Holidays!
